The Fellowship
A year-long leadership accelerator for rising young public sector leaders across the Arab world — built to develop the capacity to lead where it is hardest.
A year to develop the judgment, courage, and network that leading in complex environments demands.
The Fellowship is a year-long leadership accelerator designed for rising young public sector leaders from the Arab world. It exists to enhance their capacity to lead in complex, challenging, and often high-stakes environments — the kind that rarely offer clear answers.
Over the course of the year, fellows gain access to valuable resources, draw on a shared pool of collective experience, and build a solid network of peers across the region. Together, these multiply the positive impact each fellow can have — long after the program ends.
Leadership is not a title. It is the capacity to move others through complexity.
The public sector is where the region’s hardest problems are met — or missed. The Fellowship prepares those who will meet them.
Three things every fellow leaves with.
Access to resources
World-class leadership education, tools, mentors, and frameworks — grounded in the realities of Arab public institutions, not imported wholesale from elsewhere.
Collective experience
A cohort of peers facing parallel challenges across the region. Fellows learn as much from each other’s contexts — Sudan to Jordan, Libya to Palestine — as from any curriculum.
A lasting network
Membership in a growing community of Arab leaders. The relationships built during the year become a platform for collaboration, support, and collective impact for years after.
Rising leaders, at the moment their choices matter most.
Fellows are early- and mid-career professionals in government, public institutions, and civil society — people already carrying responsibility, and ready to carry more. Talent is distributed across the Arab world; opportunity is not. The Fellowship is built to reach it wherever it is.
“Leadership is an activity, not a title — and everyone is capable of practicing it.”
How the Fellowship unfolds.
Foundations
Fellows build a shared language of adaptive leadership and begin mapping the real challenges they face in their own institutions — the work of the year starts with their reality, not a textbook.
Practice
Through workshops, mentorship, and cross-border exchange, fellows test what they are learning against live problems — leading experiments, mobilizing others, and reflecting on what worked and what did not.
Application & impact
Fellows apply their learning to a challenge that matters in their own context, supported by peers and mentors — turning a year of development into visible impact in their communities and institutions.
The network for life
Graduation is not an ending. Fellows join the Arab Leadership Network — a community committed to advancing justice, dignity, and human flourishing, and to holding one another accountable for doing so.
The region does not lack talented people. It lacks the infrastructure to develop them.
The Fellowship is part of building that infrastructure — one leader, one cohort, one act of cross-border leadership at a time. If you’re ready to lead where it is hardest, we’d like to hear from you.
